Extreme Blogging for Business and Leisure

Rank algorithm update from google weeded out a lot of good or bad websites,   in the hope of offering it’s search users better results, on official google blog it is estimated 11.8% search results will be affected by this update, put it this way, almost 12% of google search results are useless or of low quality. They planned and started the update about one year ago, no wonder I saw a few of my keywords’ ranks dropped like a rock, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, some of the keywords even ranked better than before, it’s almost a sure thing that plain link building loses all it’s attraction, at least in the eye of google.

So what exactly is linking campaign the old way? There are a lot of SEO company out there are doing this, they put your links on websites which only exist for holding links, the content on those sites will never be updated, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, the name link spamming are just for these sites. New google algorithm most likely will punish these link spammers,  the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.

Maybe a few examples will make it clear. It was quite some time ago, I started with this keyword, Towing Chain, of course with old way of link building, a lot of sites I used had too many links, and those sites had only links, no real content at all. In the beginning, the ranking of the keyword in question rise pretty fast, eventually the keyword could be found on first page,   the honeymoon lasted until google changed it’s mind. Something opposite happened to this keyword, chain puller , we promoted this keyword with articles and blog posts, with very few plain links, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? In fact the only thing matters here is content, as long as you dole out high quality content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. You may think there are already too many blogs out there, it’s not true, there will never be too many good blogs, for instance let’s examine this one, best smartphones , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, I guess you believe this site won’t be doing too well, much to my surprise that the site actually ranks for quite a few keywords. As far as SEO concerned, quality blog marketing is much better than plain link building. Now imagine you have your own blog network, such as Cargo Net, then it will be easier to do article marketing.

At the end of day all you have to do is to create attractive content, publish and share with people, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, as long as you don’t stop doing this, you will win over customers and search engines. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, now all we have to do is to give our love for creating and sharing nice content and not to worry about the ranking all the time. Ezine is one of the best article directories out there, google will index a new article on ezine promptly, popular blogs will get your post indexed as soon as you post it, let look at some aticles or posts which are published and indexed, E-Track, explains some interesting concepts, good writing, interesting content, indexed and cached, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

Last but not least, if you don’t take social media account, you’re lost. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, then go ahead register a new twitter account and app, configure your twitter tools prpperly, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s simple and elegant, it’s a big loss if you don’t use this tool.

Ghana S Africa Speed Limiters for Buses

FasterTruck.com – 11/4/2010 – Ghana National Road Safety Commission wants speed governors for buses due to an accident which killed 5 people last Sunday at 8pm. Funny thing is, they are not sure if the driver was drinking or not… Read their story from Ghana Broadcasting. http://gbcghana.com/index.php?id=1.168547

Speed limiters are NOT the answer, unless they want more wrecks from frustrated drivers because all the buses are now running side by side and NOBODY can pass. This will cause maximum congestion and dangerous passing manuevers from motorists. It will look like ice road truckers in India. The Answer to their bus wreck problem is hiring competent people to drive their bus’s! Speed limiters will not help at all.

metromasstransitaccident081710.jpgAfter research, we noticed this is not the only deadly accident involving Metro Mass Transit buses. An accident occurred on August 16, 2010, 4AM at Koni-Kablu near Dawa when a MMT bus travelling from Mepe in the Volta Region to Accra crashed into a stationary truck parked on the shoulder of the road.

Fifteen people in the MMT bus were killed on the spot, while four others died later on admission at the Battor Catholic Hospital. Read more about this accident. http://tettehamoako.blogspot.com/2010/08/bloody-monday23-perish-in-gory-accident.html
